Common People: Myth or Reality

Ok. here is the deal, the topic to write about is normal people, but my problem is that i always thought there is not such thing as "normal people". Why? i'm not saying everybody is crazy or something like that, i just think we all have something special, something weird, something unique that make everyone different to the other, so to me is impossible normal people exists. So let's talk about all my favorite uncommon people.

Have you seen that when you got a group of friends there is always someone who, doesn't care if you are sad or happy, he always makes you laugh. there also is the one who tells the best stories, that one who can talk about the most boring thing ever and turn it into the most interesting and funny story. e diva, the pretty girl, there is also the sexy and, of course, the sweet one. Yeah! i'm not lying, i doesn't happens only on the movies, real life got that characters too.

other person, the one who can make all your body shake, yes, i'm so romantic, i am talking about the B.F., the boyfriend, MY boyfriend, OK, he could be into the group called "normal", he is a 21 years old boy, brown eyes, short hair, t-shirt, jeans and sneakers, he likes parties and we always have fun together, we hang out to dance and drink, he loves cars and bikes, he studies at the university, he's always here for me and i feel him like me best friend.

These are the normal people i know, common to you, definitely very uncommon to me, i love them and i hope to spend a lot of years with all of them.

How Green I Am?

being a pro-environment ecologist person is not something you can learn at school (i mean you could, but is not a class) i think it depends on your parents and you when you're older, and of course, on the culture of your place (country, state, region, etc.).

To me recycling is the best you can do for our planet, i try to recycle everything i can, like papers, cans, plastic stuff and batteries, i know i could do a lot more but here in Chile is very difficult to do it, specially when you don't have a car, because there are just a few recycling places and containers so if you live far away from a recycling place, like me, is not easy to carry all the stuff to that place.

Another thing we can do to care the environment is NOT to use a car, prefer to ride your bike or just go on for a walk, i don't have a bike, but i always walk a lot and i use the public transportation.

A couple of years ago i was trying to find an organization who cares about the environment, i was interested to join Greenpeace, but i think they are very exacting with the members because they never accept my request.

Finally, i want to say that i still would like to join Greenpeace, so i think i got to keep trying, i need to feel that i'm doing something important for the world, i want to change things, push the switch. Chile doesn't offers so many options to go green but if we want we can, right?

Becoming a Sci-fi Nerd

Today's topic is Sci-Fi. I'm just a "casual sci-fi watcher('cause i've never read science fiction books or comics)" so there's not so much to say about my own experience with it.. I'm gonna try to response all my teacher's questions with my knowledge and some Internet help :).

I think i like all the science fiction stuff, at least what I've been seen for now is very interesting and i like it because it can give you a funny time watching it, also i now a drawer called Luis Royo, who draws sci-fi things, and he's really good! you should know him, this is his website you to see some good sci-fi art

I don't know what was the first sci-fi thing i watched, saw or whatever. But i got my favorits like in movies definitely the big boss is Star Wars, but i like more things like Mars Attack... yeah it's stupid.. but sci-fi anyway right? Ok. Now, as i already told you, there is this very good artist, Luis Royo, and i don't know what else.. are superheroes sci-fi? whatever.. you can also watch Futurama on TV.. that's sci-fi i think, there's another good movie that i watched a few days ago, "Hollow Man", really creepy and i liked that one 'cause everyone dies and I think there's nothing left to say so. bye!

Goldin's art is not porn
Removing Nan Goldin's photograph from the Baltic gallery is an act of barbarity.

Art in Gateshead together with the city's Baltic centre for contemporary art have been seen as a symbol of the popularisation of modern art in Britain. But now that "love affair" with is meaningless Gateshead after the police seized a picture by the photographer Nan Goldin from the Baltic.

Goldin is an artist who shows a particular vision of the world in her work, the same world as Warhol and Lou Reed saw.

To take off a picture by Goldin and call it 'paedophile' you must be an idiot. Here are not subtleties: "Either you believe in the freedom of art galleries to exhibit modern art, which is provocative by nature, or you don't"

Art and artist from the first times have been criticized by hurt the "morality" and "decency" or been blamed as pornography.

We can see there are serious problems to understand the modern-art. Art should be seen as an educational instrument, everyone deserves to enjoy art and learn of it.

DRUGS AND PORN

Ok so.. this is what i have to do, not what i want.
Talk 'bout drugs.. mm... no so very interesting. Is like the homeworks and presentations you do on school so.. it got me bored. so let's start with the another topic: PORN

I think porn, and talk about it, is really interesting and talk of porno with your friends makes you think a lot of things like Why people watch it or if it is good or bad to do it, and sometimes i think it shouldn't be like a tabu, you know. I don't think is bad. It could be like a way to have fun with your boyfriend or girlfriend. maybe it could help some people to dicover themselves. But you must have clear that porn is NOT REAL SEX, it shouldn't become a obsesion. I'm not sure if porn actors feel something.. i don't think so. i think for them is just a job.

Now drugs i think people use them like a way to scape of their problems or to get creative, o sometimes they say is like the only way to connect them with their interior person haha something like that. i not against marihuana and i think it should be legal because is not proof it can cause damage to people who use it, but i completely disapprove when people can't live without drugs. when they say they need marihuana (per example) to have fun.

And about child pornography.. it's horrible! children don't know what they're doing, they just do what an adul says to them. it has to be ilegal forever and ever. The End

Bhārat Gaṇarājya

Every time i wish to be in a magic place, where everything could happen, that place would definitely be India.

India is one of the countries i MUST visit one day, of course there's a long list on my journal, like Ireland, Japan or USA. But India always makes me thing about wizards, princesses, enchanted jungles, tigers and every kind of magic stuff. But what i most like of this country is the culture, the clothes, the painting, the rituals, the religion, everything has something magic to me.

I know India is an over-populated country, and a big percentage of the people is very poor, and the other part of the people is very rich.

If i go there someday, i want to know everthing of the hindu culture, i want to go to the temples, to the taj mahal, go the jungle and explore and meet people.

I don't know if would stay there forever, or maybe i do, no one knows, but for now i wish to go there just to visit. like a vacation... and then go back to my apartment in New York. :D

He's the Man!

Maybe you know him, maybe you don't, anyway im gonna tell you who is this man, His name is Juan Francisco Casa, he's 35, he born in spain and he is one of the most important hiperrealist artists of our times. He's a painter but hes most know by his impresives blue ballpen drawings made from pictures himself takes with his camera.

I first met him since like 4 years ago when i was doing a work for my art class at school and from that momment i just went in love with him.

Juan Francisco Casas uses pictures of himself or his "friends", mostly naked girls, possing and doing silly faces. that's Casas thematic to work.
